Biochemistry department was established in 2017 under the supervision of Ms. Fazeela Mandokhail. Department was started with four years BS and two years M. Sc programs in 2017. Many graduated students of M. Sc and BS are serving in renowned private and government sectors. In 2020 department has started M. Phil degree program. Currently, the Department is offering academic programs in discipline Medical Lab Technology (MLT) for the students at BS level.

Mission
To provide quality education in Fine Arts through Bachelor’s, Master’s, and M.Phil. programs, empowering students with critical thinking, artistic skills, and professional expertise. The department is dedicated to preserving traditional arts while embracing modern design approaches, promoting research, and preparing students to become leaders in the creative industries.

Purpose:

To bridge the gap in creative education by producing well-rounded professionals in Fine Arts who contribute to the cultural, social, and economic development of the community. The department aims to empower women through artistic education, enabling them to lead with creativity, knowledge, and integrity in the evolving landscape of art and design.

Strategic Plan:

The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program was introduced at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University in 2005. The teaching of Fine Arts is inherently dynamic and varies between institutions, with some offering comprehensive subject coverage and others focusing on specialization.

Key components of the strategic plan include:

  1. Learner-Centred Education: Emphasizing learner-centred approaches in Art and Design education, fostering creativity and critical thinking over traditional teacher-centred instruction.
  2. Comprehensive Training: Preparing artists, designers, educators, researchers, administrators, and policymakers in Art and Design to contribute to the field at local, national, and international levels.
  3. Commitment to Excellence: Striving for excellence in Art and Design education and practice, achieving recognition at the state, national, and international levels.
  4. Empowerment Through Education: Supporting the university’s mission of empowering and transforming women through quality education, fostering leadership and innovation in creative fields.
