Pharmacy with its high recognition in recent years as a health profession is an emerging field to meet health care needs of community due to which SBK Women’s University introduced first professional degree awarding department i.e., Pharmacy. The academic activities of department were started in 2018 after successful securing of NOC from Pharmacy Council of Pakistan. The department comprises of highly qualified academicians having expertise in diverse fields of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The establishment of a professional degree program in an all women educational institute for the first time in Balochistan have paved a pathway for many young females from Balochistan to pursue their career as Pharmacists in their own province. Our primary focus is to produce skillful and knowledgeable pharmacists and also upgrading the department to the level of an institute in itself.

Our vision is to be a global leader in providing Pharmacy education in a collaborative and diverse learning environment. The Department of Pharmacy in Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University is committed to provide a transformative learning experience to ameliorate health and well-being of communities we serve.
Mission
The mission of the Pharmacy Department of Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University is to better the state of health through updated knowledge in Pharmacy education in areas of Clinical practice and advanced Pharmaceutical research with a special focus on patient care and medication related problems and action plans.
Objectives
  • To develop a diverse Pharmaceutical environment to make our students learn and share fundamental concepts of all Pharmaceutical sciences.
  • To develop the skills of leadership and research in our students to serve locally and globally.
Outcomes: Skilled future Pharmacists with broad knowledge and novel expertise to ensure the best possible therapeutic benefits of medicine to improve health.
